Executive Director Job Description
Job title: Executive Director
Purpose:
Effectively manage the overall operation of LoveINC of South Snohomish County for the purpose of unifying the local community of Christ in ministry to our neighbors in need through personal relationships, acts of service, and shared resources.
Reports to: LoveINC of South Snohomish County Board of Directors
Responsibilities:
Spiritual:
Provide spiritual leadership and exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and commitment to personal spiritual growth.
Board:
Support the operation and administration of the Board of Directors by advising and informing board members of ministry activity, issues and accomplishments. Work with the board in strategic planning, organizational development, and yearly budget development.
Public Relations:
Cultivate and nurture relationships with area pastors, churches, community agency directors and staff, and the business community.
Represent LoveINC and promote the organization’s purpose, vision, and ministry accomplishments to churches, agencies, financial supporters and the community.
Serve as the affiliate’s primary liaison with the Love INC National Headquarters.
Fundraising:
Lead the development and implementation of fundraising plans.
Communication:
Lead the development and implementation of communication plans.
Resource Management:
Oversee financial operations, risk management practices, and facilities. Manage all resources within budget guidelines and according to current laws and regulations.
Clearinghouse:
Oversee the operation of the LoveINC Clearinghouse. Manage related human resources (Clearinghouse Coordinator and all related staff) ensuring sound administrative practices and personnel policies and procedures.Oversee and monitor evaluation of LoveINC effectiveness in meeting client needs and impact on the community.
Servant Mobilization:
Oversee the development and operation of servant support ministries that facilitate the service of new servants in ministry to our neighbors in need.
Work with partner church pastors and leaders as they work to create in their congregations an outward focus and a heart to serve.
Service Ministries:
Oversee the development and operation of affiliated service ministries that minister to our neighbors in need.
Skills and qualifications:
The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal education, self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training.
- Commitment to the Christian church and its mandate to serve the poor as an agent of transformation.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in management, social work, organizational leadership, ministry, community development or related fields.
- Requires a minimum of three years leadership experience.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a strong team player and able to work with a variety of people, but also possess the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience supervising paid staff and volunteers.
- Ability to teach and influence others.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities effectively and under pressure.
- Requires basic computer skills.
