Ministry Development

God has blessed us extravagantly compared to most of the people of the world, and indeed even compared to many right here in our own community.  Although we had nothing to do with the time and place of our birth and most of the blessings of our lives, we have everything to do with how we use God’s gifts to us now and in the future.  As Jesus says in Luke 12:48, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” NIV

Many of our neighbors need our help and the knowledge of God’s love. They may be invisible to us as we rush around in our busyness but they are not invisible to God.  Jesus calls us to help them in His name and to show them His love. As He says in Matthew 25:40, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” NIV

This ministry seeks to unify the local community of Christ in responding to this personal responsibility.  Our combined partner church congregation is over 2,000 strong and growing; and together with God, we can transform the lives of our neighbors in need in the Name of Christ.  We will be richly blessed in the process as God grows each of us in His service.

There are many tasks yet to do to effectively launch this ministry. God is leading us in this development, and if we all take a small part, He will soon be using us to change lives forever.
