The Love INC Movement
In spite of the seemingly limitless prosperity that many Americans enjoy, millions of others are going hungry, foregoing medical care, doing without winter coats and gloves, struggling to break free from poverty. Many other Americans, while not poor economically, struggle daily to meet other challenges related to age, infirmities, and single-parent family situations.
In 1977 Love In the Name of Christ (LoveINC) was founded as a way to inspire a greater number of Christians to put their faith in action and actively engage in helping people in need in their local communities. Since that time millions of people have received help from their neighbors in the name of Christ. Today Christians serve in 130 affiliates across our country.
- LoveINC enables churches in a community to pool their resources and services so that those in need are not turned away
- Families in need receive immediate and long-term help
- Church members use their gifts and talents through specific, manageable opportunities to serve others.
- Local churches come together, across denominational lines, modeling unity of the Body of Christ.
Imagine the difference our churches can make by joining together in our community to help those in need. When the Body of Christ works together, the results can be miraculous.
